Facing college rejections, testing season, and graduation, this has been my go-to song for the last couple of weeks because of the uplifting lyrics and the vocals.
My interest in Twenty One Pilots started when my sister introduced me to their song “House of Gold” a few years back but it wasn’t until this year that I really started listening to them. Although “Fake You Out” remains my favorite song of theirs, “Semi-Automatic” was my song of the summer.
The horrors of the night melt away
Under the warm glow of survival of the day
I finished the latest—and most painful— season of Orange is The New Black recently. This song plays under one of the most powerful scenes of the series and it’s stuck with me since I heard it.
These two songs are my latest favorites, not only because I love the lyrics and the music itself, but because they give totally different vibes. They both still make me think about my “Neverland.”
This version is the original, sung by Ruth B. It includes only her voice and the piano, making it the perfect fairy tale song.
Neverland is home to lost boys like me, and lost boys like me are free.
I wasn’t sure I liked this remixed version when I first heard it and now I have it on repeat while I do my homework!
Some call it music, I call it Neverland.
I found this song on YouTube a few weeks ago by chance and I’ve been playing it ever since- there is no part about this song that I don’t love. I like a couple of other songs by The Kooks but this is by far my favorite.
A couple of weeks ago I posted another song rec here.
Not only is this song super catchy, it’s also a good reminder that it’s going to be alright. Pandora introduced me to this song a short while back and I’ve been in love ever since. Whether I just feel like listening to it or am looking for a quick pick-me-up, this is my go to song.
